The highly anticipated Celestia Awards 2025 officially launched with a vibrant and well-attended press conference held on June 7, 2025, at the prestigious Royal Grand Hotel Conference Room in Monrovia. The event brought together media professionals, industry stakeholders, gospel artists, sponsors, and organizational partners as the organizing committee unveiled the roadmap for this year’s celebration of Liberian Gospel Music.

Building on the resounding success of the inaugural edition in 2024, which recorded over 27,000 public votes, 500+ nominations, and 20+ live performances, the 2025 edition comes with renewed energy and the compelling theme: “Legacy in Motion.”

During his address, Charles G. Kpan Jr., CEO of Celestia Awards and head of CYGEC IT SOLUTIONS INC, emphasized the importance of honoring the pioneers of Gospel music while empowering today’s talents and paving the way for the next generation. “Celestia Awards is not just an event, it’s a movement. One that celebrates our sound, our story, and our spiritual influence,” he stated.

• Hybrid Voting System: 70% public vote and 30% vetting committee input
• New Categories Added: Including Comedian of the Year, Drummer, Guitarist, Keyboardist, Radio Promoter, Radio Station, and Gospel Program of the Year
• Main Event Date: Saturday, December, 2025
