On April 20, 2024, The Celestia Awards 1st official Press Conference was held at the Royal Grand Hotel in Monrovia. This conference was a kick-start of the awareness and public engagement activities of the Awards Ceremony.

Qualification and Criteria

Timeline

The Consideration Timeline for the Celestia Award is from August 2023 to August 2024. Any record released before August 2023 and after August 2024 in a calendar year, won’t be considered for Nomination and Vetting in the year of the award.

Nomination

Nomination will be open to the public from September 1 – 14, 2024. A submission portal will be opened on our official website for the general public and Music Institutions to nominate who they think deserves a certain award. This process runs for 2 weeks after which, the portal will be closed and submissions will be reviewed by the vetting committee.

Vetting

The Vetting committee will begin reviewing the submissions from September 15 – October 1, 2024. The Committee will work in line with the already established vetting criteria and Policies created by the Criteria Committee. The committee will select a maximum of 5 Nominees for each category and submit the list to the public for voting.

Voting

The voting period commences from October 1 to November 1, 2024. During this timeframe, the General public will have the opportunity to cast their votes for their preferred candidates in each category. The Organizing Committee will provide a voting platform to facilitate this process, ensuring transparency and fairness in the election of award recipients.

Partnerships

As a means of promoting inclusivity, we’ve opened our arms to work with as many institutions as possible as long we share similar visions for the enhancement of the Liberian Gospel Music Industry. So far, we’ve concluded partnerships with Media institutions including: KMTV Liberia, Finding The Rhythm, Gospel Guru, Gospel Biz Liberia, Yawdre, Dah Me Take It, and others still under discussion. We’ve also established partnerships with Radio stations including Harvest Radio, Radio Monrovia, and others that are still under discussion.
